Dahlias are the queen of our gardens from August through October. We grow many varieties ranging from Dinner Plate to Ball, both in the greenhouse and outside in the fields. You will learn how to arrange with the different varieties and shapes of these multi-layered blooms, the proper technique for cutting, as well as tips on our post-harvest procedures, growing techniques, disease, and pest control. You will not only be able to walk through and snip from our field crop, but also from our abundant greenhouse crops. You will use these beautiful flowers and foliage to create a garden inspired arrangement in a custom ceramic vase. This is a 4-hour workshop.
Sunday , Sept. 8th: 11am-3pm (Saturday, 9/7 is SOLD OUT. This is the last remaining date for this style workshop)
Workshops include: farm tour, resource packet, take home arrangement and ceramic vase, dahlia tubers*, clippers, notebook, lunch, and refreshments.
Limited to 10 participants. Ages 16+.
*Dahlia tubers shipped to participants in early spring of 2025.
*Our workshops typically sell out quickly so please mark your calendars with a reminder for the day registration opens so you’ll be sure to get a spot.
Cancellation and Refund Policy: If severe weather restricts us from a workshops full potential we will reschedule. If you are not able to accommodate rescheduled date you will be refunded workshop cost. Otherwise, workshops are non-refundable. We cannot accommodate participants changing thier workshop date unless we need to do so on our end. Please make sure you are available to attend the date you sign up for.
